At the local level, bishops' conferences and committees responsible for catechesis or Scripture often issue brief guidelines on reading tools suitable for the laity; these are channels dependent on communion with the bishop, quite different from personal blogs. When in doubt, ask: is this content recommended by a pastor or the diocese?
